Description
The Institute of Veterinary Pathology has a history of almost two centuries. While in earlier times the diagnosis of contagious diseases was its main task, increasing experimental research was made possible by the construction of a new building in 1960. The foundation of the Institute of General Pathology and Neuropathology contributed to this development. Both chairs, nowadays united to one institution, represent the subject of veterinary pathology with lectures in general pathology and special pathology connected with practical classes in histopathology, post mortem examinations and pathological demonstrations.
