Description

The scientific focus of the Department of Feed-Gut Microbiota Interaction is on the microbiology of the gastrointestinal tract. Microorganisms play a central role during the consumption of food compounds.

The microbial metabolites are important substrates for physiological processes in the host animal.

Our goal is the deep characterization of microbial activities and their interactions with the host. We use mass spectrometric methods to analyze the proteome and metabolome.
