Purpose of research: Demonstration
For energy use legume-grain mixtures as flowering arable crops with their high ecological benefits are an increasingly interesting alternative to pure cereal stocks. Within the scope of the project ' Bioenergieträger mit Blühaspekt: Leguminosen-Getreide-Gemenge ', which was funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry, valuable insights were gained for the successful establishment and management as well as the yield potential of these mixed cultures. After completion of the three-year trial period and final evaluation, agricultural practice should also benefit from the findings. The aim of the project 'Wissenswert: Leguminosen-Getreide-Gemenge als Bioenergieträger mit Mehrwert ' is therefore to prepare the results in the sense of the knowledge transfer in a targeted manner and pass it on to farmers and multipliers within the framework of various events as well as a targeted media campaign. For demonstration purposes, selected legume-grain mixtures are available at the Straubing site as well as at other Bavarian locations in the trials of the 'Informations- und Demonstrationszentren Energiepflanzenanbau' project.
