Aim of this project is the demonstration and development of a sustainable organic small fruit production in Baden-Württemberg. The cooperation of small fruit growers, scientists and consultants within the OPG concentrates the knowledge for this project. Plantings for demonstration and experiments will take place on the area of LVWO Weinsberg and private farms. The performance of these plantations will be based on experiences of growers, scientists and consultants (BÖO, NÜPA). The conditions of an organic production according the site, production methods and varieties will be considered. It is also necessary to show different levels of productions intensification. Especially the effect of protected cultivation as tunnel, raincover and plant protection nets on the rentability will be shown. Furthermore the development of a marketing organisation is important for concentrating the local production and establishing new markets with short distance to the consument.
