Collaborative project: Evaluation of the humus- and nutrient-fertilizer value of organic residues, subproject 2: Chemical characterization of residues and investigation of its N and P dynamics in incubation experiments (RESTorg)
Project
Project code: 22410918
Contract period: 01.02.2019
- 31.01.2022
Budget: 207,604 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: organic residues, humus and fertilizer impact, biogas production, renewable ressources
The proposed research project will assess the humus- and fertilizer-value of organic residues with a particular focus an residues from biogas production. In subproject 2 organic residues, in particular digestates from Biogas production will be chemically characterized (total C, organic C, water soluble C, C in van Soest fractions: NDF, ADF, ADL, total N, mineral N, water-soluble N, N in van Soest fractions, total P, water-soluble P, citrate-soluble P, CAL-soluble P, P in Hedley fractions). %sults of chemical characterization are used to predict C, N and P dynamics in incubation experiments. For the same purpose, data of pot and field experiments are used from the other working groups. Finally, data from the chemical characterization and the incubation studies are provided for mode) development. This study aims to improve fertilization advice and nutrient efficiency in agricultural practice and serves also for information of policy makers.
