For the climate-sensitive region of Brandenburg a new site-specific irrigation system is sought that is based on new sensory information from the remote sensing area. As an innovative part of the solution for irrigation with high precision signals from infrared sensors are provided. The spray nozzles of the irrigation facilities are to be grouped so that site-specific watering can be applied. For this purpose, i. a. the following project tasks are processed: Site-specific calculation of irrigation recommendation taking into account local soil structures ( 'precision farming'); Development of a model-based irrigation control for energy crops, appropriate adjustment or development of existing management models for newly formed soil; Comparative testing of different control systems (hardware and software) for additional irrigation; conclusions for practice recommendations
