Expert network - Greenhouse Gas Assessment and Climate Protection in Agriculture (THeKLa)
Project
Project code: 2219NR464
Contract period: 01.08.2020
- 31.07.2023
Purpose of research: Applied research
The Federal Republic of Germany’s climate policy target for the agriculture sector is very ambitious with a reduction of -34 % (GHG) by 2030 compared to 1990. In order to achieve this goal, practical measures need to be developed and applied and their effectiveness demonstrated. By networking scientists with practitioners, practical consultants and policy-makers, this process can be made as efficient as possible. The overarching goal of the project Thekla is therefore to establish a nationwide network for GHG accounting and climate protection in agriculture. This network is intended to bundle the current state of science and be available as a kind of expert panel or scientific advisory board for the questions of practical consultants as well as policy makers.
