The project aims to contribute to improving and sustainably securing the health status of organic grain seed in Hesse and neighboring regions. The focus is on the seed-borne blight diseases bunt and dwarf bunt in wheat and loose smut in barley. A combined approach involving the use of resistant varieties, organic seed treatment methods, and preventive agronomic measures will be used.
