Pruning is one of the most complicated, time-consuming, expensive and critical jobs for winemakers, it is crucial for the long-term development of any vineyard. In order to avoid mistakes, this work is still carried out manually by experienced specialists. Pruning in regard with sap routes is a new development that combines numerous ecological and economic advantages and efficiently counteracts the consequences of climate change. If this method could be used properly by unskilled workers, the management costs would be significantly reduced. The aim is to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of vineyard management through the innovative use of artificial intelligence in the context of digitization in viticulture. Personnel are equipped with smart glasses that record every vine from the wearer's perspective without any restrictions in freedom of movement, analyze them using AI and project suggestions for the cuts to be made into the field of vision. The application field is pruning in regard with sap routes in steep slopes.
