Based on the results of the preliminary project, objective is the implementation of an animal-friendly device for plamapheresis, which is adapted to the physiological requirements of the horse and can be carried out in a one-step process. Such a device, which allows a horse to donate plasma without decoupled return of the corpuscular components, without lengthy downtimes and with complete preservation of all blood components, is not available. The aim is therefore to establish a corresponding animal-friendly process that allows plasmapheresis without decoupling the return of components and can be used for various applications by the applicant and in veterinary medicine.
