Development and use of a bio-organic solid fertilizer for secure growth and to increase the added value of local crops
Project
Project code: EIP-Agri-Bay-2023-DÜBKW
Contract period: 01.01.2023
- 31.12.2025
Budget: 94,718 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: fertilisation, soil, climate change
Measure A/Concept development In Bavaria, the declining value added from field crop cultivation is very pronounced due to high fertiliser costs, combined with the problems of low precipitation and 'poor' soils. In addition, there are problems such as nitrate-polluted groundwater, ineffective use of agricultural residues, lack of humus build-up, lack of development of soil fauna and flora, excess fuel use and a less than optimal C02 balance. The aim of the project is to develop a concept for increasing the value added in crop production through the production and use of a bioorganic solid fertiliser for climate-neutral sustainable agriculture in regions with low soil value and low precipitation.
