The organic medicinal and aromatic plants cultivation is a diversified market segment with attractive growth potential. The cultivation has professionalized over the last few years and assumed economic challenges. The problem is the few forums for information exchange in the practice and the communication between practice and trading / processing. The exchange of information and the training of actors is of particular importance in the improvement and development of production, such as in the wild collection in quality assurance of raw materials and the preservation of natural resources in the field of natural cosmetics for the use of the potentials and opportunities for the local cultivation and to improve the operational characteristics in the small farming. To three information sessions on practical topics relevant to the successful implementation of information events in the context of previous projects in BÖL (02OE635 and 05OE042) be built on. These events came to a large positive response among practitioners, trade and other stakeholders. With more efficient use of resources could be achieved at a high level of intensive knowledge transfer and sustainable communication structure. While the previously completed events has been created by practitioners, trade, processors and research a priority list, the important practical issues formulated and forms the basis for the requested events. The aim of the project is the implementation of three events where the following topics should be the focus: Wild - Certified wild collection of raw materials for pharmaceuticals, natural cosmetics and food sectors; Natural Cosmetics - raw material supply for the natural cosmetics manufacturing, small farming - opportunities and potential for small growers organic production of medicinal and aromatic plants.
