Pathomorphological and bacteriological diagnosis
Project
Project code: FLI-ATB-08-DA_0003
Contract period: 01.01.2001
- 31.12.2017
Purpose of research: Applied research
The laboratories for pathology and bacteriology are involved in the elucidation of pathogenetic mechanisms by investigation of morphological and functional changes during the course of infection.
Pathogenicity and virulence of infectious agents are characterized by histological, histochemical, immunohistological, and molecular pathological techniques. The emphasis is laid on investigations of the tropism of the pathogens, the interaction between agent and host including molecular pathogenesis.
