Within this framework, this project aims at developing, optimizing and validating Decision Support System (DSS) tools in a real context of greenhouse cropping system, namely.
A Decision Support System (DSS) for the optimal use of beneficials in protected tomato cultivation, together with monitoring schemes and sampling methods for relevant pests and beneficials, has been developed. Based on an efficient monitoring of pests and beneficials, the DSS will recommend the beneficial and its introduction frequency, quantity and duration. Sampling methods for pests that are difficult to detect (e.g. Aculops lycopersici) are developed and available sampling methods for common pests are optimized (e.g. inclusion of beneficials in the yellow trap monitoring of Trialeurodes vaporariorum).
