Twisted leaf garlic (Allium obliquum) represents a perennial plant of the genus Allium carrying a highly interesting aroma profile. This project aims at the assessment of agronomic parameters for field cultivation and the qualitative and quantitative characterization ofvaluable low-molecular weight compounds accumulating in leaves and bulbs of twisted leaf garlic. The knowledge and data gathered will be used to judge a potential industrial use of this wild plant for seasoning and flavoring of food.
