The software-based decision-support-system 'CowsAndMore' is a marketable tool for consultants, veterinaries und dairy farmers to determine and valuate animal-based indicators and important data of husbandry and management. With the aid of benchmarking it is possible to visualize the results, to detect specific weak-points and to deviate solutions to improve husbandry and management. Aim of project 'CowConnect' is the development of software-interfaces to DLQ-data-pool to include important animal-based data from official milk control in the decision-support-system to assess animal welfare and health. The combination of data from milk control and from 'CowsAndMore' offers an integrated analysis and systematic evaluation of the several production processes in dairy farming. The work packages 1 and 2 provide the necessary basics (definition of consulting aims, selection of indicators) to develop the software-interfaces to DLQ-data-portal. In work package 3 the selected indicators from official milk control were evaluated and the reference values for benchmarking were defined. The aim of work package 4 is the programming und implementation of software-interfaces in close collaboration with the data processing centers. The evaluation of road capability of the extended decision-support-system will be tested in work package 5. The test results are used for further technical und functional development of the system. In work package 6 the structures of commercialization and the market launch were prepared. Concluding, the verification of further potential system additions follows in work package 7.
