Molecular-epidemiological studies on the antibiotic resistance of bacteria with zoonotic relevance
Project
Project code: FLI-IBIZ-02-DA_0001
Contract period: 01.01.2001
- 31.12.2017
Purpose of research: Experimental development
The emergence of multiresistant bacterial isolates is a relevant threat to the health of humans and causes substantial costs in the public health system. Multiresistant bacteria can be transmitted from apparently healthy and diseased animals to humans. The aim of the study is to elucidate the development of resistance to antibiotics in zoonotic bacteria using molecular-epidemiological approaches. The focus will be on Staphylococcus and Campylobacter.
