Purpose of research: Experimental development
A plasma treatment method for seeds to effectively eliminate pathogens like fungi and germs without using chemistry shall be developed within this project. Röber is responsible for the scaling of the treatment chamber, the assembly of test models for treatment of medium amounts of seeds as well as for bigger amounts as needed in later practice. Furthermore the performed trials will be evaluated. The efficiency of plasma treatment for eliminating fungi and germs attached to different seeds shall be shown within this project. The plasma treatment method will be tested and evaluated in field trials. The combination of chemical treatment and plasma treatment will also be checked in order to assess possible synergies.
