Purpose of research: Applied research
In this project, different winterfeed types should be compared and evaluated in field trials to figure out the influence on hibernation success of honey bee colonies and the usability as winterfeed. Further whether if late flowering food resources affects the quality of winter feed, leads to a positive or negative development of honeybee colonies and thus influences the ability to hibernate.
