The aim of the project is to plan, implement and evaluate innovative construction projects in cattle farming and make them known to the public. Public expectations with regard to animal welfare and enviromental protection pose a great challenge to family farms in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The project seeks to develop practicable solutions which can be contribute to making cattle farming under the given local site conditions in Baden Wuerttemberg sustainable and competitive. It is intended to develop new concepts for sustainable farm development the implementation of which leads to secured lifelihoods and increased competitiveness. In doing so, we need to take local site conditions into account and improve market opportunities. In the practical implementation, conflicts of objectives need to be solved in an innovative way. The objectives for innovation include the sectors 'emission control', 'structureing of the husbandry system', 'improvement of animal welfare', Economic, ecological and social sustainability' and 'public relations'.
