Decision support in crop production to improve the resource efficiency based on process oriented decision rules by an online data mining approach
Project
Project code: EIP-Agri-SA-2017-LPPGD01
Contract period: 01.01.2017
- 31.12.2019
Budget: 671,562 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: farming practice/activity, plant production and horticulture, fertilisation, product/service, climate change
The focus of this project is the development of an innovative management system based on process-oriented decision rules for croppers with the aim to gather data of important yield determining factors fast, reliable and at little cost exemplarily for a region in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Through a highly innovative and site-specific information management significant cost decreases and a reduced environmental impact from crop production shall be achieved. Economical sustainability demands for strategic management along with operational management. 'Precision agriculture' is the key factor of an economically and ecologically optimized crop pro duction. Its characteristic element is the transition from a field-specific to a site-specific ap proach and from an empirical to an information-controlled process management with objectivization of the decision criteria and decision processes. Therefore, GPS, GIS, methods from remote sensing, multivariate techniques for data processing and gee informatics are combined.
