Project
Project code: MRI-PBE-08-1010 lösliche Ballaststoffe
Contract period: 01.04.2018
- 31.12.2021
Purpose of research: Applied research
The importance of dietary fiber for a healthy diet has gained increasing interest in the last couple of years. It seems to be making an essential contribution to a healthy intestinal development as well as for sustaining human health. However, aside from the quantity of dietary fiber in our daily diet, the quality of fiber also plays a crucial role (soluble and insoluble dietary fiber). The objective of the project is to examine the influence of different combinations of soluble and insoluble dietary fiber on the intestinal morphology and histology as well as the intestinal microbiome in an in vivo model.
