Goals are: Optimizing the dual purpose strategy, dairy and beef production with one breed. Further develop the native, modern and highly productive breed Fleckvieh Strengthen farmer-based cattle breeding by securing the Fleckvieh breed as property of the farmers and by an organized and self-determined breedership. Extension of phenotyping by involving farmers in the breeding program: direct on-farm recording of health, fitness and efficiency data use to enable utilizing the efficiency potential of dual purpose breed. Setting up intelligent data management systems data interfaces and networks. Bundling of data of different farms and use for management improvement on the farms, for farmer consulting and breeding value estimation Improving the breeding value estimation system by combining genomic and new phenotypic data. Returning improved information to the farms and to the breeders
