The EU Organic Regulation No. 2018/848 (Art. 28 para. 1) requires all companies in the organic value chain to take proportionate and appropriate measures from 2021 onwards to prevent risks of contamination of organic products by unauthorised products/substances and to identify critical points in the process steps accordingly. For farmers and trading / importing companies, these requirements for the systematic safeguarding of organic integrity are largely new. The aim of the project is to develop guidelines and tools for companies in all parts of the organic value chain (agriculture, processing and trade/import), which will help companies to implement those requirements.
