Purpose of research: Applied research
The aim of the reseach projekt is to estimate the structural effects of the expanding produktion of biogas in agricultural plants. Against the background of competition for available land in areas where livestock numbers are high, the objekt is to ascertain what changes will occur in the use of land through the increased produktion of biogas and the probable consequences this will have for the environment. In order to carry out the projekt, reseach was conducted firstly in rural districts with a high concentration of livestock and a high momentum of biogas produktion; in the second stage of the projekt in pasture farming regions; and, in the current stage, in arable farming regions. In order to facilitate an analysis of the systems of land utilisation and the substrate maintenance of agricultural plants actively producing biogas, there follows a comprehensive factual appraisal of the current status of bigas produktion in the selected regions. By means of simpel model calculations, orientation values can be deduced for, among other things, maximum acceptable land prices. The results thus obtained will be extrapolated at Federal state level and represented. Finally, there follows a discussion of the results.
