Project code: Horizon 2020 PN:727672-2
Contract period: 01.01.2017 - 31.12.2021
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: legumes, value chains

Partners from ten European countries are working together on this project to promote the cultivation and utilisation of leguminous crops within the EU. The goal is to develop sustainable and competitive cultivation systems and value chains within the feedstuffs and food sector. Assisted by 20 existing value chains and networks that reflect the diversity of European legume cultivation, LegValue aims to illustrate the value that leguminous crops can have for each actor. One of the project outcomes is intended to be a simple-to-use tool for listing leguminous crops for the specific situation of each potential cultivator, suited to the prevailing conditions. A further aim is to increase market transparency for the trade in and utilisation of leguminous crops.
