Whole farm husbandry concept Cattle (GBHK_Rind)

Project

Project code: 28N505000
Contract period: 11.02.2021 - 15.05.2023
Budget: 149,472 Euro
Purpose of research: Public relations
Keywords: animal husbandry

The aim of the project is to provide farmers, consultants, architects, political decision-makers, agricultural trainees, students and non-specialist audiences with an overall concept of animal husbandry in the form of sustainable housing and stall systems. The focus is on visions and aspects of modern stables for sustainable, animal and environmentally friendly dairy farming, bull fattening, and calf and young cattle farming. In order to ensure a broad transfer of knowledge, the results should be digitally processed and used in a variety of ways (3D models and AR / VR based simulations). The models selected from a large number of examples show processes that contribute significantly to improving animal welfare and, at the same time, to reducing negative environmental influences. Both the 3D models and the VR / AR simulations are used in this regard at exhibitions, lectures, seminars, workshops, for teaching purposes, etc. together with local special advice, also in the sense of the 'livestock strategy' and in the context of 'stables of the future', used nationwide. Creation of the 3D models and the VR / AR simulations for the areas of dairy farming, bull fattening and calf and young cattle farming • Presentation of the models and simulations for the dairy farming sector as part of the digital trade fair Eurotier 2021 • Joint presentation of the project results dairy cattle (GBHK_Rind) / pigs / poultry (joint project STAMO) as part of a hybrid digital conference in June/ July 2021 in Haus Düsse • Implementation of a nationwide roadshow in the agricultural centers of the state offices and chambers of agriculture from July to December 2021 • Joint presentation of the project results from GBHK_Rind and STAMO to political committees and bodies in Berlin in December 2021 • Presentation of the 3D models and simulations for the area of ¿¿bull fattening as part of the Düsser Milchviehage 2022 • Presentation of the 3D models and simulations for the field of calf and young cattle husbandry as part of a public information event in cooperation with the network focus on animal welfare in March 2023 • Use of the models and simulations in specialist events with different target groups (farmers, consultants, veterinarians, industry, ...) as well as presentations as part of special construction days in Haus Düsse and comparable information events in other nationwide agricultural centers
