Project
Project code: 2821HS006
Contract period: 15.07.2021
- 15.03.2022
Budget: 34,501 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: vegetable production, cultivation, landscape/landscape preservation, sustainability, crop production, poison / toxins, animal species comprehensive, greenhouse cultivation/protected cultivation, cause and effect-relationship, prevention
The aim of the project is to create a knowledge base (situation description) that is validated in a participatory research process by practice and science, including the participatory evaluation of socio-economic and ecological areas of tension and possible solutions for the use of agricultural films in fruit and vegetable cultivation, taking asparagus cultivation in Germany as an example. The project is open-ended and conflict-sensitive. A conceptually structured and empirically based overall system understanding will be developed so that the need for research, innovation and change can be identified, mapped, located and described (MS3). The aim is to provide deci-sion-makers with guidance for evidence-based policy development and implementation, e.g. on appropriate formats for research, practice testing, knowledge transfer and appropriate participa-tion and communication. This is done in the sense of a nationally, regionally and sectorally co-ordinated, systemic and sustainability-oriented innovation competence of horticulture using the example of asparagus cultivation, for which a conceptual approach is developed.
