mAInZaun will develop a supplement to traditional fence systems recognized as basic protection according to the Wolf guideline and ensure compliance with the cross-compliance guidelines for protecting animals from known dangers when grazing. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods, an intelligent fence with sensors and actuators will ensure security against outbreak, recognize the approach of a wolf and carry out defense measures. Detection of dangers, be it wolves or manipulation of the fence by storm or third parties, is recognized immediately and communicated to the animal owner. An optional integration of external control centers in the event of pasture outbreaks, e.g. Police, road maintenance services or railway supervisors in the alert chain are planned. The sensors and actuators with their own power supply can be used independently of an existing fence. The use without a classic fence can also open up new areas of application in impassable regions and should be checked in a separate working point. This can be, for example, temporarily active virtual protective fences on streets, villages or along hiking trails in tourist areas or landscape protection measures. The use in public space is unproblematic from the point of view of data protection, since no video or image recordings are stored in the company. This data is only used to identify a hazard from the system. What is essential is that it can be used even without a cellular network infrastructure (4G, 5G) or WLAN with high reliability in transmission and the robustness of the entire system in the event of failure of individual sensors or manipulation.
