Project code: JKI-A-08-1291, 28ZDP11A20
Contract period: 01.03.2021 - 31.01.2024
Purpose of research: Applied research

Computer and internet-based forecasting and decision-making aids are important components of the Integrated crop protection. Its further development and practical application is more up-to-date Research and development work and also the declared goal of the National Action Plan for one sustainable crop protection. There are a large number of mature diseases and pests programs for weed control are not yet ready for practical use nationwide decision aids. With the practical introduction and testing of InnoHerb's internet-based decision support this serious gap will be closed to ecological and economic potential to exhaust. InnoHerb is based on developments and validations from previous projects and supports farmers and consultants in the selection and dosage of herbicides in wheat and corn. On the basis of extensive effect data and corresponding algorithms, the program ensures that herbicides are used as precisely and sparingly as possible. The wide application of the new decision support InnoHerb contributes significantly to the development of a sustainable and resource-saving bioeconomy. Recent project results have already shown that farmers can significantly reduce the treatment intensity and thus their operating costs without the combating success or earnings endanger. The InnoHerb program thus creates a conflict-free environment win-win situation and ideally combines sustainability and economic efficiency in agriculture Farms. As part of the project, InnoHerb is responsible for weed control in corn and wheat Tried and tested practice areas and additional demonstration areas and plot trials. At the end the project has a market-ready prototype of an expanded decision support. It is planned that coupling use of the finished tool to a seasonal fee and making it available via ISIP.
