Farm economics of production related experiments for Organic Agriculture (Bwol)
Project
Project code: TI-OL-08-OL-2021-2434
Contract period: 01.07.2021
- 30.06.2025
Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
The knowledge gained at the Thünen-Institute of Organic Farming in production optimization always has an economic side. This becomes relevant at the moment, when the production inventions are ready for the practice. The project will give economic figures for orientation and discussion. At the Thünen-Institute of Organic Farming organic production systems for plant and animal production are researched and further developed in order to make the results useful for farmers, consulting and politics. Up to now, the projects have been economically accompanied by the Thünen-Institute of Farm Economics. The economic evaluation of the projects is to be intensified and the systemic management in organic farming is to be taken more into account. For this purpose, an on-site observation, especially at the experimental station/farm, makes sense.
