The project Peatland plant fibres investigates which wetland crops from peatland-friendly cultivation are best suited for fiber production and subsequent further utilization.
Special attention will be paid to the different possibilities of utilizing the harvested crops produced by peatland-conserving cultivation. To this end, the first step will be to investigate the pulping of bog plants as a raw material for the production of paper, cardboard and free-form parts.)
