Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
The project, which is being implemented by TMG Research gGmbH, aims to identify options for the BMEL to promote the implementation of Agenda 2030 in, through and with Germany and thus to provide a systematic approach to food security. The study focuses on three objectives. Firstly, the promotion of an integrated implementation of Agenda 2030, especially with regard to global networking; secondly, the promotion of the implementation of Agenda 2030 both in Germany and in other countries; and thirdly, the strengthening of the position of the BMEL in the implementation of Agenda 2030 in the national and international context. In particular the monitoring mechanisms, measuring the achievement of objectives in the process of implementing the Agenda 2030, are to be analysed. The interconnections between the SDGs must be analysed in order to identify possible synergies but also possible conflicts of goals in the implementation of Agenda 2030. Alternative options for action for the BMEL should result from this analysis.
