Giving Smell sense To Agricultural Robotics Teilvorhaben: 'Integrated visual Analytics and Decision Support' (STAR)
Project
Project code: 2823ERA21H
Contract period: 01.05.2023
- 30.04.2026
Budget: 199,781 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: data management, data collection, information-communicationtechnology, fruit production, crop production, crop protection, plant health, precision farming, sensor technology, viticulture (winery)
The specific objectives of the sub-project are to specify and develop the data management system and data processing algorithms based on machine learning techniques to produce a geo-referenced, digital multi-sensory representation of the environment and its interpretation by end users. The results of the data analysis serve as input parameters for a decision support system that supports the end user in relevant agricultural decision-making processes. Another work objective of this sub-project is the integration of the robotic system and the cloud-based analysis and visualisation components into an overall system that can be used by end users. Extensive field tests and user studies will be carried out to ensure this usability.
