Steep slope viticulture 2.0 - New ways in steep slope viticulture (Steep slope viticulture 2.0)
Project
Project code: A/22/16
Contract period: 01.12.2022
- 30.11.2026
Budget: 444,677 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: Viticulture, steep slope, minimal pruning, economy
In order to establish the efficient vine training system in practice, it is necessary to carry out extensive research into the practical suitability of the minimal pruning training system on steep slopes. This work should show that the minimal pruning system is a cost and labour-saving alternative in the labour-intensive steep slope. In addition, it is expected that the high physical workload in steep slope management will also be reduced. The aim is to record the influence on grape and wine quality under practical conditions. It will only be established in practice if consistent grape and wine quality can be produced in comparison to standard training.
