Purpose of research: Experimental development
Partners involved in the project created successfully the theoretical and practical available base for an innovative method of individual electronic animal identification. Using the brand name “Agro-SAW-IDENT” following prototypes are available: • SAW-Ear-Tags for cattle, • SAW-Reader with matching Antennas, • SAW-Software-Solutions and Display Units. At the reached technical level „Agro-SAW-IDENT“ is suitable for electronic life time identification of cattle basing on ISO-standards. The used radiofrequency range enables world wide application. Project partners are ready to agree all administrative conditions, necessary for application of „Agro- SAW-IDENT” for electronic life time labelling of cattle. „Agro-SAW-IDENT“ products are ready to be involved in modern cowshed technique systems. First installations are under construction. Availability of fix installed and mobile reader units makes „Agro-SAW-IDENT“ a robust base for livestock management systems. Achieved reading distance, enables also electronic identification of aggressive cattle, buffalos and bison by “Agro-SAW-IDENT”.
