Project code: 2807BM036
Contract period: 01.01.2009 - 31.12.2012
Budget: 136,304 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research

In this joint project (projects: 07BM029; 07BM030; 07BM031; 07BM032; 07BM033; 07BM034; 07BM035; 07BM036) is established, for each of a wind pollinated or insect-pollinated shrub (hazel or blackthorn), a standard method that the assessment of genetic differentiation of individual populations and their actual suitability and adaptability makes under different environmental conditions. The project includes the establishment of a home test (clone archive), the evaluation of the provenances in terms of their genetic / geographical differentiability means Genmarkeranalysen and evaluation of their actual suitability and adaptability under different environmental conditions using biomarker analysis. Central here are the studies in genetically identical clone archives that are created in different environments. The clone archive are the preconditions for phenological studies of differential adaptability and for quantitative genetic studies. In a modified form, the method should be used to assess the future of other shrub species.
