The project aims at the development and establishment of a network for plant breeding for organic farming, involving the active in this field, institutions, organizations and individuals and work together on important issues and stimulate the further development and any recommendations for policy-making to geben.Hierzu will conduct the project workers FiBL in cooperation with the Foundation on Future Farming workshops, round robin tests and demonstrations. Representatives of associations (organic, Demeter, natural land, etc.) and other professionals with high professional competence for organic cultivation of agricultural / horticultural crops, (of institutions from research, consulting, marketing breeder) and practitioners are involved. While the project will be conducted 11 workshops in total, of which 2 9 planned as kulturgruppenübergreifende and as a cultural group-specific events, with the cultural group-specific workshops are planned for the 3 cultural groups of crops, vegetables, fruit and wine. Furthermore, the implementation provides intercomparisons of 9. In the years 2009 and 2010 a total of 8 demonstration days will be held at the locations of the ring tests. During the project period will be carried out research on participatory breeding approaches and the current state of development of potentially problematic breeding methods with a view of organic farming and summarized in expertise. At the conclusion of the project will be three brochures with specific content of organic participatory plant breeding and create appropriate guidelines for each thematic group.
