Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment

The project is to be made to a systematization of these experiences of initiatives and organizations who want to distinguish themselves with the commitment of additional criteria, process quality (socially, regionally) on the organic market. The systematization of the success factors used to formulate existing initiatives being formed and to submit recommendations for optimizing their organizational form, the control structures and consumer response to communicable and action guidelines for the organic farming associations. It is provided in a) a set of core criteria (economically, environmentally and socially) to draw up the production process along regional value chains, make b) Proposals for the protection of the higher process quality through adequate regional organization and control structures to work out c); whether from the perspective of the participants by providing a cohesive structure of trade, an increase of process quality in terms of stronger reliability, transparent product quality, increased security of supply, etc. can be achieved andd check) to be marketed successfully under what initial conditions and the means by which regional fairness as a value added can. After a theoretical exploration and a search of existing regional initiatives, six case studies with qualitative structured interviews and participant observation of intense study. From the present experience success factors are derived and the initiatives submitted recommendations for improving its procedures. The results will be numerous workshops on a variety of actors from the field (regional initiatives, farming associations, regional organizations) and disseminated in the form of two handouts for regional initiatives and bundled the farming associations.
