Functional characterization of Pathogenesis-Related10 (PR10) genes
Project
Project code: TP A09
Contract period: 01.07.2011
- 30.06.2015
Budget: 510,526 Euro
Purpose of research: Basic research
We propose to carry out ligand binding and protein-protein interaction studies to test whether PR10 proteins function in metabolite sensing and signaling. We will try to restore the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway in Fra a deficient genotypes. These lines and others will be used to elucidate more details of the role of PR10s during infection with pathogens. Finally, we want to test the alternative hypothesis that Fra a is associated with the tonoplast and mediates transport into the vacuole.
