Purpose of research: Basic research
Implementation of regulation (EC) No. 2160/2003 requires that measures are implemented which lead to a reduction of the public health risk for the consumers. Currently, focus is targeted towards the exposure of the consumer by table eggs. In a targeted study hypotheses on the relevance of some risk factors on the Salmonella prevalence in flocks of laying hens will be tested. For this purpose a questionnaire will be developed, validated and applied.
