'Until now, the wine in organic farming in the EU Regulation is 2092/91 regulated. In Annex VI, which defines the permitted treatment substances and processing aids for organic production, the wine is exempt. For organically produced wine has the same restrictions, as well as for vinification, conventional validity. A distinction between conventional and organically produced wine wine is therefore only through private legal arrangements from the associations possible.
For the preparation of general guidelines on the one hand for the amendment of the annexes of EU regulation, but also for the relevant associations to analyze the situation in organic farming is essential.
The aim of this project is therefore to the BMELV and associations of organic farming detailed data on the use of oenological practices and treatment materials including the required SO2 - to give quantities for developing a national position on organic wine making at hand. The focus is the acquisition through a questionnaire and the analysis and compilation of critical treatment and substances included in GMO regulation and regulation of allergen. The project is using a questionnaire requesting the necessary critical and oenological practices and treatment agents collect and compile. Similarly, available data from the project are used ORWINE and expand the data base. The data and results are on a national workshop on the second and Organic viticulture symposium presented and discussed. '
