Project code: 2804HS022
Contract period: 01.10.2005 - 31.03.2009
Budget: 131,871 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research

The Institute for Special Crop Cultivation and Physiology at the University of Hohenheim product has established a working group to examine the genetic profiles of the model Rebklonen Noir. Since 1999, intensive research in cooperation with German institutions (Geisenheim, LVWO Weinberg, WI Freiburg) using molecular genetic techniques to the structure of DNA analysis of Rebklonen (Forneck et al., 2003, Konradi et al., 2002, Forneck et al., 2002, Konradi et al., 2004). In the course of this research was to develop DNA markers that can be used in marker-assisted selection. Furthermore, clone-specific markers are identified and converted to markers, which are suitable for differentiation and identification of clones. This expertise is used to as part of a joint project with the Geisenheim Research Institute and the University of Giessen additional DNA markers associated with the phenotype found in breeding and use of relevant procedures.
