Purpose of research: Basic research

The aim of this project (literature study) is to describe the current situation and state of knowledge regarding the hygiene (health risks, risks for plants) within the application of organic fertilizers which are part of the “Düngemittelverordnung”. inter alia: What is the hygienic status and risk of the different types of fertilizers? What are possible routes of transmission for the pathogens and what is their hygienic risk potential? What is the impact of different treatment methods (e.g. anaerobic digestion) on the hygienic status and risk of the applied fertilizers?
