Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
The status quo of current research results of both grain legume species fava bean and pea shall be gathered and consolidated. An analysis of the current information of ongoing and completed research projects as well as advisory documents should identify the already sufficiently studied fields of research as well as possible knowledge and implementation deficits. On the one hand this is intended to prevent redundancy within research and on the other to point out existing deficits within research and knowledge as well as implementation gaps in practice of cultivation and utilization of grain legumes. With this new acquired knowledge future research projects may be initiated and better coordinated. This way the current protein plant strategy of the BMELV for these two protein plants will be put on a solid basis of knowledge.
