Project
Project code: FLI-IfE-08-Wu Nager-Mold 1
Contract period: 01.09.2011
- 31.08.2012
Purpose of research: Applied research
A main objective of this joint study is a comparison of evolution processes for Hantaviruses in rural and urban regions in Germany and Moldova. The second objective of the project is to study the role of rodent species as a reservoir or for the transmission of Q fever because rodents are involved in the development cycle of ticks. This will require the development and validation of diagnostic assays for those agents which might be expected due to the presence of corresponding rodent reservoir hosts.
