Project
Project code: 03HS065
Contract period: 01.03.2004
- 31.12.2004
Budget: 49,637 Euro
Purpose of research: Basic research
European cherry fruit fly (Rhagoletis cerasi) is the most serious pest of cherries in Europe. Conventional control has been based on broad spectrum insecticides that are toxic to humans, non-target organisms, and the environment. There is an urgent need to establish alternatives. To do so, many individuals are needed for experiments and rearing methods must be developed.
