Purpose of research: Applied research
The tasks of the National Reference Laboratory are:
- Performance of national collaborative studies with Anisakis larvae in fish flesh.
- Performance of workshops for training of staff.
- Investigations on the occurrence and distribution of nematodes in fish.
- Development and improvement of methods for the detection and quantification of nematodes.
These studies serve the preventive consumer protection.
