This project contributes to the research aim 'Food and consumer protection'. Which funding institutions are active for this aim? What are the sub-aims? Take a look:
Food and consumer protection

Project code: MRI-OG-08-54401Fettsäure-Analytik
Contract period: 01.01.2014 - 31.12.2015
Purpose of research: Basic research

The project aims to the establishment and validation of targeted GC-MS methods for fatty acid analysis (free or bound mid- to long-chain fatty acids; free short-chain fatty acids). The desired methods should be both, suitable for routine analysis, and robust and precise. In addition, all relevant fatty acids should be determined with acceptable accuracy, independent of the lipid class. The method for free or bound mid- to long-chain fatty acids should not only be used for plasma samples (e. g. for the KarMeN study), but also be transferred to other matrices such as food samples which are analyzed for the German Nutrient Database. Keywords: Gas chromatography, Mass spectrometry, Food and beverage analysis
