Project code: FAL-TT-02-8
Contract period: 01.05.2004 - 30.04.2006
Purpose of research: Basic research

A new type of suckling teat with an artificial teat canal, which allows a more physiological milk intake and, thus, may reduce intersucking behaviour is tested on-farm (farms for raising and fattening calves at automatic devices). Besides behavioural observations (by video), individual recordings of pressure during milk intake and subsequent direct observations are done in the control- and the test-groups.
